These reports summarize the actions of the Board in examining petitions for clemency, pardons and paroles, and restorations of civil rights. They contain statements showing the name and residence of each applicant, the crime for which he/she was convicted and sentenced, and the recommendation of the Board. Some of the cases have lengthy explanations of the circumstances of the crime or state that the petition was recommended by certain officials. Total examinations and Board recommendations are given in the transmittal letter to the Governor. Annual reports are continued in publications of the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Predecessor reports appear in publications of the Governor.
